Titles : My experience of growing Aloe Vera 🪴
As I grew up, my mum and dad used to grow fruits and many vegetables in our medium size backyard. I often helped them while they were working. And that was a wonderful memory to cherish. So a few years ago, I attempted to nurture a small aloe vera plant which I got from my friend's garden. Aloe Vera, as you may know, had so many benefits to humans not only for health and it might as well became a necessary ingredients in skincare products. The aloe vera plant has been used for thousands of years to heal a variety of conditions, most notably burns, wounds, skin irritations, and constipation. It was known to grow in subtropical and tropical location included South America, Latin America and Caribbean, indicating that Western countries were their primary source.
Moving back to my experience of cultivating aloe vera, I had read some of the research related to my preparation planting task. According to an article I read, they mentioned that aloe vera plant grew best in full sun or some part of shade, I had to pick the right spot where the plant would get at least three hours of full sun per day and well-drained soil that nourish the organic growth. Another thing was a container, I had to make sure my container was large enough to get ready and planted a small plant into a mature large plant.
In addition, I also called my uncle who was very knowledgeable about plants and asked for some advice, and I followed his instruction. And it didn't take long for aloe vera's roots to became robust which grew all the way to the bottom of the soil and became tall. Despite, their youthful appearance, they were already able to withstand drought since they were established in its soil. Usually, when the soil dried out, I would watered them, Furthermore, I frequently did it in the morning or late afternoon. In order to prevent certain fungal diseases around its leaves.
Along with my other green plants and some flowers that my mother grow, my backyard garden looked much better once my aloe vera plants were tall, robust and large enough to use. So I gave a try to check if the information on the internet was accurate, I even applied it to my wound finger and once on my hair, it wasn't a bad response, but it definitely wasn't helpful like what the other told me.
So far, I guessed my experience of growing aloe vera plant has been successful and fun. But due to the lack of care and my hectic schedule, and even worse during the heatwave weather, some of the plants included my aloe vera didn't survive in the super hot and dry season and got dried out to dead. I was kinda sad but at least I knew when and how to grow aloe vera now.
